Instructions to make Italian Herb Biscuit Loaf:
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. - - Combine Flour, Cornmeal, Cheese, Salt, - Baking powder, Basil, Oregano & Garlic powder in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in the Butter with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Beat the Eggs in a medium bowl. - Add the Whipping Cream & beat well.
  4. Add the Cream-Eggs mixture to the Flour mixture. Stir with a spatula until the mixture forms a ball. - - Turn out the dough on a well-floured surface. Knead 10-12 times.
  5. Roll or pat the dough into a 7 inches round, about 1 inch thick. - - Place it on a greased baking sheet/tray.
  6. Score the top of the dough into 8 wedges with the tip of a sharp knife. Do not cut completely through the dough. - Sprinkle with additional Cheese if desired.
  7. Bake 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. - It it doesn’t come out clean, then put it back in the switched off oven for 5 more minutes.
  8. Cool on baking tray on wire rack for 10 minutes. - - Serve warm. Enjoy!
  9. Note: To reheat, wrap with foil & heat up in the preheated oven at 400 degrees F for a few minutes.
