- Make ready 1 kg Basmati rice
- Take 1 large onion fried to golden
- Get 250 grams Thick Greek youghurt
- Take 3 tomatoes (medium size)

- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Fresh Garam masala powder
- Take 1/2 teaspoon Kasuri methi
- Make ready Salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder & ginger garlic paste as per taste & bay leaves 2
- Make ready Cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamoms & shahzeera for cooking with rice
- Get Lime juice (1)
- Take Oil for cooking
- Prepare Food colour yellow & orange red both 1 pinch each with milk two (tbs)
Unlike veg dum biryani recipe this vegetable biryani is mild and dry. The gravy is not very wet and spicy too. Instructions to make Restaurant style veg biryani !!!!:
- Firstly wash & soak rice with salt & Garam masala
- Wash & chop vegetables then fry it hot oil remove it & set aside
- In same oil fry the onion also & pick a wok then take 4 tablespoons oil
- In that add ginger garlic paste, green chilli, bay leaves stirr theee minutes then add the chopped tomatoes fry it till it gets soft
- Then add curd in it sauté both tomatoes & curd till the raw smell disappears then add fried onions leaving few for garnishing
- Then add all regular spices lime juice then add fried vegetables & few coriander leaves now roughly mix well then cover it for 3-5 minutes
- Besides cook the rice drain it’s water & layer it in between add the prepared vegetables gravy then again add all the rice then add some oil, fried onions, colour with milk, coriander leaves
- Leave it to steaming for about 10 minutes on low flame let it it rest for 20 minutes then serve it.
