  6. Make ready 1 tsp oil for boiling quinoa

Steps to make Quinoa Stir Fry:
  1. Rise quinoa in a fine colander well and bring 2 cups of water to boil in a sauce pan
  2. Add the quinoa in the boiling water along with 1 ts oil and a pinch of salt and let to boil
  3. Once boiled for 2 minutes, reduce heat and cook covered for 10-12 minutes till the water is completely absorbed by the quinoa
  4. In another saucepan boil veggies like sweet corn and green peas using a cup of water for 5-7 minutes and strain the water and keep aside
  5. Once the quinoa is cooked, take off heat keep aside
  6. Heat a Tb of oil in a non stick pan
  7. Add onions, chopped garlic and sauté for 2 minutes on medium heat
  8. Add the other veggies like beans, cabbage, carrots, boiled sweet corn and peas and sauté for 5-7 minutes more
  9. Reduce heat and add the quinoa and mix well
  10. Add salt to taste, pepper powder and soy sauce and mix well
  11. Cover and cook for 2 minutes more on Low heat and then take off heat
  12. Serve hot with hot garlic sauce or any sauces of your choice
  13. Tip: adding oil while boiling quinoa helps to avoid them getting stuck to the saucepan after they are cooked
  14. Tip: Add scrambled eggs or boiled chicken/any meat of your choice for a non- vegetarian variation of this recipe
