The ingredients needed to make Ketchup Glazed Beef:
  1. Get 3 tbsp ketchup
  2. Take 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
  3. Prepare 1 Green chilli
  4. Get 5-6 garlic cloves

  7. Take Thumb sized piece of ginger
  8. Prepare 1.5 kg top rump beef joint (approx)
Instructions to make Ketchup Glazed Beef:
  1. Place the beef onto a ovenproof tray. Pat dry with kitchen roll.
  2. Blitz all the rest of the ingredients in a blender until it forms a smooth paste like mixture.
  3. Coat the beef evenly with the marinade. Allow to sit in fridge for a minimum of 4 hours but for best flavours allow to sit overnight.
  4. Turn your oven on to 180c.
  5. Transfer to the oven and roast the beef until cooked through. I don't know how long it took to cook through as I used a meat thermometer and I really wasn't keeping track of timings for this recipe but I think it took around 60 minutes to 90 minutes to cook through.
  6. Allow to rest for 10-20 minutes before serving.
