  4. Till then,put a pan on gas on low flame and add 2 tablespoon oil to it and let it little warm. After it add 1 tablespoon cumin seeds and mustard seeds to it and let it cook for 10 seconds until little brown. Now add 2-3 green chillies to it and finely chopped onion to it and let it cook for 1-2 minutes until onion become golden brown. After that add curry leaves to it and let it cook. Now, add chopped tomatoes and cucumber to it and let it cook for 2-3 minutes on a low flame.
  5. Now, add crushed potatoes in the pan and mix all the veggies thoroughly. After this,add 1 tablespoon turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon dry mango powder,1 tablespoon red chilli powder, 1/2 tablespoon garam masala to it and salt to taste. Mix gently and let it cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame. If it burns little, you can add 2-3 tablespoons water in it.
  6. After this check out the moong Dal batter, now add 1-2 tablespoon besan to it and also add salt to taste. Now, add 1 tablespoon baking powder and baking soda to it. Further,you can also add 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice to it so that it easily reacts with baking soda and powder.
  7. Mix all the ingredients in batter gently. You can also add little amount of water in batter if it is harshly thick and can make it of Chilla consistency.
  8. Now put a pan on the flame, if non-stick pan well and good, otherwise optional. Now sprinkle some water droplets over pan with 1-2 tablespoon oil and clean it with cloth so that a double layer forms on the surface of pan and Chilla wouldn't stick onto it.
  9. Now, pour amount of batter onto pan by using spoon or a steel bowl and spread it gently in circular path. It's totally your choice, which sized Chilla you want.
  10. Now, spread 1-2 tablespoon oil on the edges of Chilla and let it cook for 1-2 minutes on low medium gas flame until light brown from bottom.
  11. Now, flip over the chilla from backside and let it cook on another side for 1-2 minutes on low gas flame. Again flip it.
  12. Now, add the stuffing of potatoes and veggies on medium portion of Chilla gently by tablespoon. You can also add paneer or some other vegetables which will also enhance the taste of Chilla.
  13. Now, turn over the chilla with help of spatula and cut into two pieces from middle. Similarly, make all the chillas which are servable to two persons acc to measurements of ingredients taken.
  14. Serve hot Chilla with tamarind chutney or green chutney and enjoy the wellness of this recipe.
