Instructions to make Yummy Burger Without Bread:
- Soak the barnyard Millets (bhagar)for 2 hours
- Transfer the soaked bhagar without water in a mixer grinder. Add 1/2 cup curd and 1/2 tsp salt and grind to a smooth paste
- Add eno & lemon juice to the paste and add 1/3 quantity to a greased bowl and steam for 10 mins
- Keep aside to cool down. Once cold, slit into two parts and saute in a frying pan with little butter.
- For the TIKKI - boil potatoes and smash them well
- In a kadai add oil and cumin seeds for tempering. Add grated ginger and green chillies. Saute well.Add onions, turmeric powder,red chilli Powder & salt and saute well
- Add smashed potatoes to the mixture. Sprinkle some chaat masala & chopped coriander leaves
- Switch off the gas.let the mixture cool down. Add bread crumbs and shape into tikkis. Re coat with bread crumbs again
- Shallow fry the tikkis in a pan over butter
- Now assemble the burger in following steps
- In a bowl add hot & sweet tomato sauce and mayonaisse to make a quick homemade burger sauce
- Apply butter to the bhagar portions. Then apply the homemade burger sauce. Add tomato slices
- Place the tikki and onion rings, apply the sauce once again, place the cheese slice over it
- Apply some sauce and close the burger with the bhagar topping. Pierce a skewer to ensure that the ingredients are held well.
- Garnish with some wafers
